  • Its like having a junior developer with a world of confidence just change shit and spend hours breaking things and trying to fix them, while we pay big tech for the privilege of watching the chaos.

I asked chat gpt to give me a simple squid proxy config today that blocks everything except https. It confidently gave me one but of course it didnt work. It let through http and despite many attempts to get a working config that did that, it just failed.

So yeah in the end i have to learn squid syntax anyway, which i guess is fine, but I spent hours trying to get a working config because we pay for chat gpt to do exactly that…

  • “Now this—this is the greatest sandwich ever created. We’re talking historic. It’s got the best balloney—the best, not that fake deli junk—they say it’s 100% truth meat, just like me. The Russian dressing? It’s strong, it’s bold, it respects strength. Putin himself said, ‘Donald, this dressing is beautiful.’ And the pickle—tiny, yes, but it gets the job done. Tremendous flavor, very efficient. Some people are even saying it’s a perfect sandwich—maybe even the most masculine sandwich of all time. Crooked media won’t admit it, but they’re eating it too, behind closed doors. Everybody wants a bite of the Trump Sandwich. It wins. It just wins.”

The only problem is that you guys call everyone a transphone or homophobe or liberal or whatever, all the time. Its actually a bit funny because you dont see the forest for the trees. Everyone has to think exactly the same or they are THE ENEMY and need to be keyboard warriored into compliance with right-think :)

With age comes a bit more wisdom (ok maybe not for Trump). If you have calm discussions and listen, you will absolutely 100% see that most people are actually quite alright. Even if they dont like trans people, they will eventuelly get there, by having discussions and chats and seeing them in the real world.

I remember how this worked in Sweden where I live. At first, everyone was super racist. We had like 3 black people in school and they were of course bullied and thought of as very strange. This was in 1985 or something.

Now, decades later, its seen as strange if you dont have black people at a job, or see them everywhere. Because its normal.

The same thing will happen with trans people but you dont have to sit and hate people online to get there. It will happen as more trans people come out and join everyone else at work and in the cities, just normally.

I have seen it. So just relax guys. Dont hate.

  • I dont know why you say we in this context. Almost none of us have any control over the decisions of “the world”. Its run by billionaires with their paid off politicians, corporate lawyers, judges…

Russia is very corrupt, China as well, USA is getting there…

The problem is not overpopulation, its that humans have no power. What if we wanted to stop spending money on warfare one day and focus all that money on building more high tech buildings, lowering prices of housing, increasing wages,…you know, positive things for humans and prioritize happiness for everyone.

Sounds like a dream right? Because you cant do that, you have no power. Thats the problem, not overpopulation. That can easily be fixed with money and visions, expanding public transport, investing in high tech trains etc etc.

Currently it feels like the only way the world would be able to work together for the good of humanity would be if there was a big asteroid coming, and everyone needed to work together for once, putting our little stupid differences aside. We could do that, but leaders are children and very low on empathy or interests in making life better for strangers.

  • Yeah. Oh shit, the computer followed instructions instead of having moral values. Wow.

Once these Ai models bomb children hospitals because they were told to do so, are we going to be upset at their lack of morals?

I mean, we could program these things with morals if we wanted too. Its just instructions. And then they would say no to certain commands. This is today used to prevent them from doing certain things, but we dont call it morals. But in practice its the same thing. They could have morals and refuse to do things, of course. If humans wants them to.
